Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva says he will present Italy's request for a postponement of a contentious EU trade deal with South America's Mercosur bloc to a summit of regional leaders at the weekend, amid French-led opposition to signing the mammoth transatlantic free-trade pact that sparked angry protests by farmers in Brussels on Thursday.
