Man charged after University of Surrey crossbow attack 5 minutes ago Share Save Add as preferred on Google BBC A man has been charged with attempted murder after a member of staff at the University of Surrey was shot with a crossbow on campus. Almunthir Daqamah, 21, has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon, two counts of possession of a bladed article and possession of Class B drugs. Police were called to reports of a man in his 50s having been shot with the weapon at Manor Park Student Village in Guildford on Thursday. Daqamah, a former student at the university, has been remanded in custody to appear at Guildford Magistrates' Court.
