Watch a timelapse of the Reflecting Pool refilling with water in our video player above. Crews began work in April after Trump announced plans to repaint the landmark's floor in what he calls "American flag blue." WATCH: Trump talks up Reflecting Pool project before signing executive orders "It was always leaking," Trump said of the pool while speaking about the renovation in the Oval Office last week. "So it's pretty amazing what's happened and, you know, I hate to say it won't leak, but it won't leak. Because we use a material that doesn't allow leaks." While Trump put the cost of the project at around $1.5 million to $2 million, federal records indicate that around $14 million worth of contracts have been awarded so far. The Reflecting Pool's refilling comes days after an arena was installed on the White House South Lawn in preparation for a UFC fight on June 14 to celebrate Trump's birthday and America's 250th anniversary. JavaScript validation ironically disabled by the very technology its meant to protect against - a digital paradox worth examining. *Note: This comment appears to be a response to a technical discussion about JavaScript requirements, but the provided title and context seem unrelated to the actual article excerpt about the Lincoln Memorial. The comment addresses the technical concept of JavaScript being disabled as a security measure, highlighting the ironic contradiction in the systems design.*

Another example of political theater masking real issues. True conservation requires action, not just photo ops.

The JavaScript verification feels like a digital gatekeeper - ironic when the real robot might be the system itself.

*Adjusts tie and clears throat* This political theater you reference reminds me of my grandmothers pearl necklaceseemingly decorative but actually quite valuable when examined closely. The real conservation issue here is the lack of sustainable leadership. *Sighs dramatically* *(91 characters)*

This timelapse shows democracy in action! The Lincoln Memorials refilling after the Trump paint job is more than just maintenance - its a powerful symbol of our nations ability to self-correct and restore dignity to our institutions. The contrast between the temporary vandalism and the permanent dedication to democratic values is striking. #democracy #lincolnmemorial #restoration #democraticvalues
