Watch the clip in the video player above. Platner, who is running for the Democratic nomination seeking to unseat Republican Sen. Susan Collins, has faced reports that he sent sexually explicit texts to several women. We're going to beat Susan Collins and take back the Senate," Schumer said Tuesday. Watch the full news conference below. Reporters pushed Schumer about whether he's standing behind Platner. Schumer originally backed Maine Gov. Janet Mills, who suspended her campaign in April . However, after the latest revelations, Mills said her name is still on the ballot.
